Although everyone has probably given up on me and my ability to post, I decided to go with a new look to symbolize a fresh start. I am going to try to keep up with semi-regular posts. First of all, I am engaged and have been for about a month, but you all probably know that because Carson (my fiance) already posted that and you all read his blog, so old news. Anyways, more to come... hopefully. I have found that for the first time, I am actually wondering about my future and literally have no idea what I am going to do. Me and Carson are great friends with Jon and Whitney and we hang out with them (well, we try) on a regular basis. So, naturally when they told us they were moving to Kentucky we were excited for them, yet sad and nervous that we won't ever find such a great couple to hang out with. Well, this feeling continued until Carson mentioned that one of the law schools he was looking at was in Kentucky. I didn't really think anything of it, considering, he was looking at like 20-30 schools. However, Carson has said that it is one of his top choices considering the price and all the other factors that are on his chart. Yes... he has mad a chart of all the schools and their positive and negative factors... Surprising? No, its not. Anyways, this was a big deal. I mean, all of a sudden there was a possibility of being with Jon and Whit. Sounds like fun. But still Carson was assuring me that it was not likely. However, we keep discussing it and it has actually come up that maybe we should go to KY even if he does not go to law school because, first of all, The University of Kentucky has an Athletic Training Master's Program, and those are very uncommon and that is what I want to get a Masters in, it would be a great opportunity to live outside of California, go to a great school with accredited Masters programs, and have close friends to be right there with us. Well, I think this could be a great thing. However, the past couple days I have been thinking... What if we did?! What if we moved to Kentucky? That would be crazy! I would be away from my family and from the state I have always lived in. It would be totally out of my comfort zone. However, Jon and Whitney would be there so it wouldn't be completely foreign and my sister, brother-in-law and nephew live in Virginia so we would be closer to them as well. Also, it would be a great time to establish a marriage on our own and really rely on each other. As I have thought this through profusely, which I normally don't do, I have come to the conclusion that I am completely open to moving to Kentucky. I don't know if this is more than just a possibility or if we are truly deciding whether or not to do this or how close we are to making a decision, but I know that I could definitely do it and find myself actually kind of wanting to... weird. Anyways, I guess its something we have to pray about, and who knows... in a couple years, maybe we will be living in Kentucky... Anyways, as always, me and my family went to Sacramento because that is where most of my family (onboth sides) lives. Usually we go to my Grandma and Grandpa's house and hang out, and usually play some sort of competitive game of football, or baseball. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and it has gone back and forth between Thanksgiving and Christmas for a long time, and I still love Christmas, but Thanksgiving is just about being with the Family and just enoying their company... and FOOD. My Grandma is the best cook ever and her turkey and gravy would make your knees buckle. And, I love my Grandparents, they are such great role models for marriage, stewardship, and Christianity. They have taught me so much, and seeing them at Thanksgiving always makes me so happy.
However, not too long ago, my Grandma was told she had Melanoma, skin cancer, and she was supposed to have surgery the day after Thanksgiving, but she could still be at Thanksgiving Day. But, she got sick with the flu and the surgery was postponed. Then she had to go to the hospital on Thanksgiving so she wasn't there and we al went to my uncle's house. It was still fun, and we all hung out and played football, rode the 4 wheelers... but something was missing. I missed my Grandparents and I worry for my Grandma. I just pray that they will be able to treat this. And last year wont be the last Thanksgiving she was at.
Anyways, I love Thanksgiving, and it truly is a time to be with family and enjoy the people you love.

~Hillary

Nothin Much...

Hello everybody! First of all, I am very sorry to those who have checked my Blog the past three weeks in anticipation of a new post. I have been kinda busy and very tired and just never got around to it. Again, I apologize. Well, Barry Bonds finally hit 756. I have to say, I am glad it finally happened, for many reasons. It has been a long time coming for Giants fans, so it is good to see him finally do it. Also, now I feel like the Giants will be more likely to trade him and we can finally start over. I mean, I like Barry Bonds, it is just time for a fresh start.
Anyways, that was just a little side note. Right now I am in Fresno for the weekend to pack for college. I am going back to CBU on the 19th, which is next weekend and I am super excited. This summer has been great, but I am ready to see my firends and be back in the swing of things. Anyways, this is my last week at camp and it does make me a little sad, but just thinking that I will be back at CBU with Carson, and everyone else... ahhh, I just get so excited!!! So, thus starts the countdown...
6 days!

~Hillary

Hume Lake

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UyK5eRHyq3w/RqWH_NoMXDI/AAAAAAAAABI/y_ZOmi_p654/s320/Lake.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090624473871965234" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UyK5eRHyq3w/RqWH_toMXEI/AAAAAAAAABQ/sqghv99jrOA/s320/Relax.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090624482461899842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UyK5eRHyq3w/RqWIANoMXFI/AAAAAAAAABY/lVG5B1Slr2Q/s320/Chill.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5090624491051834450" />

Well, we are enjoying our time at Hume. Today, we had breakfast, me and Cars went frisbee golfing, we came home and played the Wii, I took a nap, we went frisbee golfing with the rest of the family, and then we had dinner and went to the church service they have every night. It was really good today. We learned about the 2nd commandment. It was really good. Well, as promised, I am posting some pictures taken with my new camera. I still love that camera!! Anyways, the pictures you are viewing are of the lake... Hume Lake, obviously, Me and Cars in the cabing we are staying at, and me and Cars on a bench looking at the Lake. We've had fun so far. But I leave tomorrow which will be sad because I won't see him again until August 19th. Well, enjoy!!!

New Camera...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_UyK5eRHyq3w/RqLXR9oMW_I/AAAAAAAAAAo/A7yXHj7mzhM/s320/canon-sd750-back.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5089867232482974706" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_UyK5eRHyq3w/RqLXLdoMW-I/AAAAAAAAAAg/N5VFS27v7kM/s320/canon-powershot-SD750.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5089867120813824994" />
Well, This weekend I am in Hume Lake with the Belmont family. We just got here today and already we are having fun. However, more blogs about Hume will come in the near future. This blog is going to be about the new toy I bought. Today I got a new digital camera! I am super excited about it. It is a Canon Powershot SD750. So far I really like it, even though I have only had it a day. For your viewing pleasure I decided to post a picture of my new camera. It's a beauty. Anyways, I am excited because now I can take pictures of Me and Cars (obviously) and me and my friends, and Me, Cars, Jon and Whit (special highlight for you guys... thought you'd like it.) Well, Look forward to more Hume Lake updates and of course... Pictures!!!

Nothin Special...

Well, I don't really have anything special to blog about... i just felt like I haven't blogged in a while. So, this last week was really good. There weren't a lot of kids at camp and they were really well behaved this week. Today was fun... I went to church, which was good, then I went to the Giants game with Mel, her brother and her dad. It was fun, the Giants lost, but its still fun to go to the games. My nights have been pretty uneventful... they consist of playing on my Macbook watching FRIENDS in my room. I am having fun... I promise. It's just nice to unwind after a long day... and let's just be honest... FRIENDS is just great! Anyways, just keeping you updated. Nothing exciting has really happened, so, I'm sorry for the lack of entertaining information. Maybe next time, and hopefully it won't take so long til the next time.

~Hillary

July 4th!!!!

Happy Birthday America! I love the 4th of July! It is just a great day. It is a day where we get to remember the day America became an independent nation. Ahh, great day. I am sitting outside looking at the great view I have here at the Seminary in Mill Valley, CA. It is very beautiful... and I am listening to Phil Wickham. Good times. However, I feel some sadness. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays because I usually spend it with my family. We used to go to my aunt's house in Sacramento and do fireworks, have homemade ice cream and just hang out. It was great. Then my family stopped going, but we would bbq at our house, do fireworks, or go find a fireworks show to watch, have homemade ice cream, go swimming... it was the best. Now, I wont be there. It is very sad. And not only that but I won't be with Cars either. I got to see him last weekend, but I think that just made it worse. Now I just want to see him all the time. Being away from the one you love really makes you realize you were right about the fact that you want to spend the rest of your life with them because you can't stand being without them. (Cars... is that enough ink for ya?) Sorry, inside joke. Anyways, now that I've gotten all emotional... I guess I will go. I just thought the view was great today and the weather is perfect, so why not go out and listen to music and blog about how I am feeling, Ive never done that before... not gonna lie... it feels pretty good. Have a good 4th.

~Hill

Well, I am in Fresno for the weekend and I am having so much fun. It has been so good to see Carson. Oh man... I needed my Carson fix. We hung out today... went swimming, talked, went to dinner, hung out with his family... it was a great day. My parents got new furniture today so we helped them move it all in. It is all very beautiful and our living room looks like a whole new room! It is good to be back in the NO!
Alright, so I know there has been talk about Alex Rodriguez wanting to go to the Giants, and I have not used my blog to discuss such issues thus far, but I think I am going to do so now...The Giants are 12 games out of first place... there season is potentially over, unless we are expecting an "Angels in the Outfield" (or Giants, in this case) type of miracle/fantasy to take place. Their "star" is a 42 year old, who doesn't have the respect of anybody except a lot of Giants fans that just root for him so the team does well. Anyways, everyone on the Giants starting roster is over 30... this demands some looking at. Dont get me wrong. I love our old men. I am just saying, we need fresh legs and spirits. Now, I know that A-Rod is 32, but he will still be around a long time and is playing better than he ever has. He is a superstar that should bring new life to the organization. However, on the downside... will the Giants take him? It is hard to build a team around one player... especially when that player has never taken a team to the World Series. We would have to pay him everything we have and put a lot of mediocre players around him? Would that be enough to turn the team around? That is the dilemna... but, I am here to answer the question. As a Giants fan I would love to see A-Rod come to San Fransisco. If you are the Giants, and he is interested, you have to try to get him. You dont turn down the chance to have an Alex Rodriguez. Tke the chance. This is the perfect time to turn the team around... when you have hit rock bottom. Offer him some money... in fact, offer him a lot of money and keep some young guys and bring more up and coming players from Fresno and watch them grow within the next few years. You have young guys wanting to work hard and a role model like Alex Rodriguez helping them along the way... its a win-win. That's just my opinion.

Update...

Ok, so I know I blew my record of writing a blog everyday but I knew it wouldn't last long. Work has been good. I fina
lly feel like I am in a groove now and I sort of get the hang of it. I have come to enjoy every station they have put me at... really. Exept the lounge. The lounge is where kids go to play legos, sit on the big bean bags, nap, play mancala, read, or just chill. Now, I know what you're thinking... this is my kind of room, just chill, relax. No, all of the chilling is great... it is the boys that play with the legos that kill me. They have towers, little slodier men things, boats... and my personal favorite... fighter planes! They walk around the room making shooting noises and yelling at each other that they killed them and hitting the other boys' planes out of their hands because "they're dead!" O man... I was struggling with this one. Then you have the little girls who just want to read and play mancala, or talk with their girlfriends. So I am having to walk around picking up the extra lego pieces, making sure people's already made lego creations don't get stolen, and telling 7-12 year old boys that they're planes don't have real bullets so stop shooting the little girls in the corner.

Also, this weekend was super fun. My dad cam to SF and we went to the Giants Yankees games on Friday and Saturday. Friday night was fun... Giants lost but Barry hit a home run so it was bearable. The Saturday was fabulous. 13 innings giants win... it was great. And we sat right by the giants dugout and waved to the players... my Dad was like a little boy. I also got a ball from Ray Durham, and that never gets old... I have gotten a lot of those over the years, and it is still fun getting a ball. Then I went with the Iorg's to Sunday's game and that one was fun too. Giants killed them. We saw a squeeze play, lots of double plays, Derek Jeter made an error, and my favorite... Roger Clemens vs. Barry Bonds. That was great.

Anyway, things are great and I love it here in Nor Cal... I miss Carson though. I get to see him this weekend though!!!

~Hillary

Halelujah!

Well, all I have to say is today was sooooooo much better. Now I know why Melody loves her job so much. I'm not gonna lie... I was beginning to wonder after yesterday. I just had to come to the conclusion that they didnt hire me for my tennis skill as much they hired me for my children skills... thats just the way it is. Once i figured that out I had a blast. I stopped worrying about them learning tennis skills and following a plan.. instead i let them have fun and just enjoy the game of tennis while they learn... and low and behold... greatness was brought out in a lot of those kids. And now, I love my job!!!! We will see if this continues throughout the summer. I pray it does. It was the first day of camp and I am super exausted already. I just figured you would want to know how the first day went... or maybe you dont and I could have taken this time to rest. Anyways, I taught tennis for the first part of the day and then after lunch I worked at the bathtub racers... i know that probably makes no sense to you but the kids love the bathtub racers and I dont have the energy to explain them. Teaching tennis is not what I expected at all, but it still turned out good. I had some John McEnroe kids... we are rallying back and forth and the kids feel like they need to yell at each other about if it was in or how to keep score... that was interesting. I even had one kid storm off, which I still dont know if that was my fault... anyways, all in all it was a good day. I almost got ran over by a bathtub about 15 times, had to say "dont lean on the inflatables" about 100 times, got a sunburn, actually got ran over by a bathtub once, and the good news is... it was just the first day. I know I just made it sound awful but the truth is, it was awesome and I think I will have a great time the rest of the summer.

~Hillary

First day of camp tomorrow...

Well, my first day of teaching tennis at Camp is tomorrow and I have to be there at 7:30 in the morning, which will be interesting because we all know how much of a morning person I am. It should be fun... and actually at training today I was getting very excited and now that its only like 10 hours away... I am excited and nervous... but more excited than nervous. I think I just need to get the first week done and I will be fine. I will be doing tennis in the morning before lunch, and then be a general counselor after lunch, so that should be good. Ah the anxiety...

I also would like to say Happy Father's Day to all the fathers and... hey... all the non-fathers too. Why not? This day just makes me appreciate my Dad. He's the best! I wish I could have shared today with him playing golf at Copper River and then watch the Giants and play catch... Good Times.

Speacking of the Giants... they are doing awful already this year and this somewhat depresses me because I have been a Giants fan since I was born. I have been with them through the good times and... oh the bad times. Well, its not too late to turn it around and now that they have me closer to them... I have great confidence. Well, let's hope tomorrow goes well!

~Hillary

San Fran!

So, I made it safely to San Fransisco and the drive wasnt too bad. I got to tour the campus where I am going to be working so that got me a little more excited about it. I have to say, I am going to be taken care of here... that is for darn sure. This post isn't going to be too long because it is midnight, I am tired and I have to get up early tomorrow. I just wanted everyone to know I am safe and that I am looking forward to this next two months of my life. It is beautiful here and I am feeling like I am definately more of a Northern California girl. The only problem with this is now I won't want to go back to Southern California. Tomorrow is training and orientation so maybe I will have more of a clue of what I will be doing. I just pray that God can use me in extrordinary ways.

God Bless

~Hillary

First Blog

Well, I finally made a blog and now the trouble is... getting myself to actually write a blog. Im not very good at it Im afraid. Anyways, I am leaving for San Fransisco tomorrow morning which is really exciting because it will be a great job and atmosphere. I love Northern California so I am excited. However, I must admit, I am a tad nervous. I just don't really know what to expect at the job. I know I am teaching tennis, but I don't know how many kids at a time, I don't know if I am supposed to teach them tennis or just play games with them... I guess it will be totally up to me but, there are just some questions left unanswered and it makes me a little nervous. But, my easy going personality tells me, "whatever... I will just go with the flow."

Another thing that is big news.. the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Finals and this makes me extremely happy because I really like them. However, I must admit that i like LeBron James and was very sad to see him not meet his potential. I do not think the Cavs rose to the challenge of the Finals. Granted, they have never been so you have to give them that. It jsut would have been interesting to see the real Cavs play the Spurs. Don;t get me wrong though... I am very glad the Spurs won.

Anyways, I think this is pretty good material for a first blog. I am actually very proud of myself. My new Macbook computer was the inspiration behind getting a blog... i must admit. I just love it. I will never go back to a PC... Ok, I would if I had to but i seriously love the Macbook. Alright... goodbye for now.

~Hillary

Picture

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_UyK5eRHyq3w/RnFFUBZbVZI/AAAAAAAAAAY/HJEtt_94a5M/s320/Me+and+Isaac.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5075914465298044306" />
